Buyers have always expected more from a new home than a resale home. Builders can differentiate their new homes by adding connected devices to create a “Smart Home” that responds to homebuyer needs. Technology has enabled enormous advances in our lives, but in many ways, these advances come with new burdens. We travel more, we work more, and we’re more involved in our kids’ lives than ever before. Today’s working families don’t just need technologies to lift some of those burdens, they expect them. We will review how various Internet of Things (IoT) products connect together to create a smart home that fits the builder’s budget and meets the homebuyer’s expectations.
Education isn’t limited to the classroom at IBS—more than 20 exhibiting companies will be offering NAHB-approved education forums on the exhibit floor throughout the show, both in their booths and from our South Concourse stage. These interactive forums will give you insight on current or emerging building and product trends, demonstrations of construction best practices and lessons to help you build your business more effectively. Forums will be 20-45 minutes in length and qualify as continuing education (CE) for all those who hold NAHB professional designations.
NAHB - 0.5 CE hour(s)
Exhibitor Floor Forums are free to attend and no pre-registration is required. This is an in-booth forum—to participate, please visit the Trane booth (S2610) at the time of the forum. Seating will be available.
