Styx
StyxSpawned from a suburban Chicago basement in the early 1970s, Styx would eventually transform into the virtual arena rock prototype by the early 1980s. From their breakthrough hit “Lady” to classic rock radio standards "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," "Blue Collar Man" and "Fooling Yourself” to the monster successes of concept albums “Paradise Theater” and “Kilroy Was Here,” Styx dominated the rock landscape throughout its career, and was the first band in history to release four consecutive triple-platinum albums.  Since 1999, the band has performed live more often than it did in its previous history. Two Super Bowl appearances, Pollstar Box Office chart-topping tours with Def Leppard, Journey, Boston, REO Speedwagon and Bad Company (to name just a few), more studio albums and no end in sight, Styx—Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips (along with the occasional surprise appearance by original bassist Chuck Panozzo) — continues to conquer the planet one venue at a time.

About the Venue
In the great tradition of Las Vegas’s first rock venue, the new Joint’s commitment to remarkable sound, stage lighting and talent remains unparalleled. Even before the walls of the old Joint came down, rock’s biggest names were buzzing in anticipation of the new venue. Now doubled in size, this highly upgraded version retains all the intimacy, character and authentic rock vibe of the original. It’s the best Joint yet.
