The New American Home 2010®

The New American Home 2010 (TNAH) was shaping up to be a model of style, grace and technological innovation, built to NAHB’s Green Building Standard and the Department of Energy’s (DOE) ENERGY STAR®energy efficiency program. That was before the home got caught up in the credit crisis that has hammered the home building industry across the country.
 
As a result of tight credit and a soft market for high-end homes in Las Vegas, The New American Home 2010 was not completed in time for tours during the International Builders’ Show (IBS). But as always, the showcase home, which is roughly 75 percent complete, includes some of the most interesting and innovative new products on the market.
 
The 2010 New American Home was sold at auction after foreclosure. The new owner is finishing the project to the previous specifications and the home will be completed in time for the Las Vegas Parade of Home from May 13-30, 2010.
