As the director of Wray Ward’s Connections group, John oversees the agency’s shared, earned, owned and paid disciplines, including social media, public relations, content marketing, influencer marketing, paid media and search marketing disciplines. As consumers and trade audiences continue to engage with brands in new ways — both online and off — John directs the creation of cohesive engagement strategies. His understanding of how audiences consume information across diverse channels helps Wray Ward’s clients utilize storytelling to influence thinking and behavior and build enduring relationships with customers. He previously managed the agency’s Content Marketing team, launching and expanding its video production services while cultivating engaging, educational and shareable content experiences for a diverse array of clients. Before joining Wray Ward in 2006, John provided media relations counsel on critical issues for the CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. Prior to that, he served as an account lead at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.
