What It's About:
To heat and cool a house efficiently and ensure healthy indoor air to breathe, you need an air-tight envelope and proper, carefully controlled ventilation with energy recovery. But the first step, an air-tight envelope, requires a blower-door test to help find the leaks you may have missed. In this presentation, Gord will explain the importance of blower-door testing and Jason will demonstrate, step-by-step using the Building Performance Lab, how to perform one.
What You’ll See and Learn:
- Discovering potential problem areas
- How to solve problems once they are identified
- Testing after construction of a new home as well as in an older home after the energy audit
How to Participate:
Demos and activities in the High Performance Building Zone are free to attend and no pre-registration is required. To participate, please visit the HPBZ at the date, time and location indicated above. Seating will be available.
