IBS Ambassador Program

Nominate A Member

The IBS Ambassador Program is designed to enhance the amazing work Executive Officers (EOs) do to promote the NAHB International Builders' Show® (IBS). It gives NAHB members the opportunity to work with the IBS marketing team, share their experiences and help your members discover the benefits of attending the building industry’s biggest event—all without creating any additional work for you!

”Our membership has enjoyed having an IBS ambassador for many years. For those who have never attended the show, she provides valuable ‘how to’ advice on making the most of the show and for veteran attendees she provides an easy and concise summary of show highlights, events and insights into the best spots to visit. We hope to carry on this benefit of belonging to an HBA and continue sending significant numbers of our members to IBS.”

—Michael Stoskopf, Executive Officer, HBA of Southeastern Michigan

Membership Incentive

A local expert spreading the word about exclusive NAHB member discounts on IBS registration is an easy way to retain and recruit new members.

National Level Representation

Ambassadors update their HBAs, answer IBS questions and serve at the national level sharing feedback and member issues with the IBS marketing team.

Ease Your Workload

Your IBS ambassador will help your members get the most from attending the event and will increase your HBA’s attendance. Supporting your members' success and keeping your members engaged will help encourage a strong membership retention rate.

IBS Ambassador FAQs

Who is an ambassador?

An IBS enthusiast who has the passion to grow their HBA's presence at the show and serve as your local IBS point of contact for members.

What is the role of an ambassador?

To serve as your HBA's IBS spokesperson and increase member awareness. Your IBS ambassador will share important updates and the benefits of attending the show, as well as provide the IBS marketing team with any feedback from your members.

What is the goal of the ambassador program?

The program is completely voluntary and structured to support the work you're already doing for the show year-round. The perfect candidate is a member in good standing who is eager to spread information about the benefits of attending the show.

What happens once someone becomes an ambassador?

Ambassadors participate in monthly calls and use tools to promote the show. Ambassadors have access to IBS photography, FAQs about the show and talking points. They also share ideas with other ambassadors and provide member feedback to the IBS marketing team.

How does someone become an ambassador?

An EO can nominate an NAHB member by submitting the nomination form.
