General Show Information

What are the exhibit hours for the Show?

How many people attended the 2014 Show in Las Vegas, Nevada?

Over 75,000 building industry professionals attended the 2014 show.

Who should attend the Show?

Any professional involved in the residential or light commercial construction industries; such as home builders, remodelers, Realtors®, etc.

How can I register to attend?

Registration for the 2015 Show begins September 2, 2014.

Do I have to be a member of NAHB to attend the Show?

No. You do not have to be a member of NAHB to attend the Show; however, NAHB members are eligible for discounted registration fees. In addition, if an employee in your company is an NAHB member, all employees of your company may select from the discounted member registration fee options. See NAHB membership for more information.

I believe that someone in my company is a member of NAHB. How do I verify membership?

Call 800-368-5242 x0 and speak to a staff person in the NAHB Member Service Center between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm (Eastern).

Are children allowed to attend?

Yes. However, children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times when in the exhibit areas. Registration for children is complimentary and must be done onsite. All children except infants in backpacks or slings must be registered and badged to be admitted to the exhibit areas. STROLLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE EXHIBIT AREAS.

Is photography allowed on the Exhibit floor?

No, due to the sensitive nature of new products and unique booth displays at the Show, photography and/or video recording of any booths within the Exhibit areas by any attendee/exhibitor personnel is prohibited. Exceptions are made only when permission is obtained from the exhibitor whose booth/product is being photographed/video taped and/or all individuals appearing in the photograph or video.

Can I purchase photos of the 2014 International Builders' Show?

What are the registration options?

The 2015 registration options, fees and deadlines will be announced on September 2.

How can I register to attend?

Registration for the 2015 Show opens September 2.

What types of payment are accepted for the registration fee?

You can pay for your registration fee using a Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

What are the Official Show Hotels?

The list and descriptions of the 2015 IBS Official Show Hotels will be posted in September.

What are the benefits of booking hotel rooms through the Show?

Will transportation be provided between the Official Show Hotels and the Las Vegas Convention Center?

Yes, complimentary hotel shuttle bus service will be provided between the Las Vegas Convention Center and Official Show Hotels that are not within walking distance.  Hours of operation will be announced this fall.

Are there any special rates on airfare or rental car rates for attendees of the Show?

Yes, NAHB has negotiated special transportation discounts for attendees of the International Builders' Show:

Where can I park at the Las Vegas Convention Center and how much does it cost?

The Convention Center has designated attendee parking locations.  Parking generally costs $10 per day with in/out privileges.

Can I park my car overnight at the Las Vegas Convention Center?  

No, overnight parking at the Convention Center is prohibited.  Vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner's risk and expense.

Pre-Show Education Course Information

If I register for IBS, am I automatically registered for Pre-Show Education courses?

No, a separate fee and registration is required for IBS and for each pre-show course.

How can I become a speaker at the Show?

The Request for Proposals (RFP) for speaking at the 2015 Show is now closed. Speakers and submitters have been informed of their proposal status. If you missed this year's deadline, but have interest in speaking at the 2016 IBS, please check back in early 2015. We expect the RFP to open again in March.

Whom should I contact with more specific questions about education at the Show?

Where do I obtain additional information on Professional Designation programs offered by NAHB?

Examples include Certified Graduate Builder or "CGB", Certified Graduate Remodeler or "CGR", and Certified Green Professional or "CGP" and you can call the NAHB Professional Designation Helpline at 800-368-5242 x8154 for more information between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm (Eastern).

What is NAHB's Online Library of recorded IBS education sessions and how do I get access?

The 2014 Online Library gives on-demand access to more than 100 education sessions in 10 different building industry topic tracks. After the show, all paid full registrants (excluding spouse, exhibitor and student registrations) will receive an email providing complimentary access to a one year subscription. Separate purchase of an Online Library subscription as well as individual session recordings in a variety of formats including CD-ROM, audio CD or MP3 Download is available from Mobiltape.

International Attendee Information

I am not from the United States. What do I need to do to attend the 2015 International Builders' Show?

Depending on your citizenship, you may or may not need a visa to travel to the United States to attend the International Builders’ Show. Detailed information for international attendees will be provided in September.
