Get HandoutsWhat It's About
This session pairs a leading architect and a building science expert with nearly two decades of experience working together on high performance homes to reveal how you can best design, specify and construct building enclosure systems that are safe, healthy and durable. They’ll outline the building science principles that apply to below-grade and above-grade assemblies and roofs, and use a variety of architectural details and job-site photos to illustrate high performance in all types of assemblies, including unvented crawlspaces, vented cathedral roofs and deep, double stud walls. Tuning the building assemblies to regional climates throughout the United States will also be discussed.
