R L Johnson, CAPS, DHTI+ is President and CEO of Right at Home Technologies. Ltd., an eccentric specialty construction holding company that is parent to CAPS Builder, a custom builder/renovator specializing in 55+ housing; Ric’s Electric, a State of Ohio licensed electrical contractor specializing in solutions for the Active Adult; Elite Systems Solutions, an award winning Electronic Systems Contractor, and Excentrique, an industry training and advocacy company which is a nationally known for evangelizing the need of Installed Home technology for Aging in Place. Johnson is currently serving his seventeenth term, as a State Director to the Ohio Home Builders Association (OHBA) and National Delegate of the National Association of Home Builders Leadership Council and is the 2023 National Area Chairman (NAC) for Area 6 of the NAHB Board of Directors. He currently serves as a voting member of NHAB Codes and Standards Committee, Codes and Standards Subcommittee, and is Chair of the Energy & Green Standards Subcommittee. He is serving his second term as Trustee for the 55+ Housing Council and 1st Vice Chair of the 55+ Housing Council during the 2023-2024 year. Johnson is currently serving as Area Vice President for Ohio Home Builders Association for Northwest Ohio. He is the 2015 recipient of OHBA’s Garson-McDaniel Memorial Award. He received the Executive Committee Member of the Year are in 2013, as well a Presidential Citation in 2014, 2019, and 2022. Mr. Johnson has been married to his lovely wife, Dorothy, for 50 years, with three children and ten grandchildren. He is active with his church and local service organizations in the Ada, Ohio community.
