Turner Binkley entered the architectural arena at the age of 14 when his dad, an Architect, placed him under the guidance of an office colleague. Despite his lack of experience, or maybe because of it, he was among the first in the firm to apply a design program using computer aided design technology to the centuries-old craft of pen and paper. That led to design stints with a variety of well-known firms and architects in the Southeast. By the time he was 21 he had worked with Nationally known Architects, Developers, and Builders. In 2019 he opened Binkley Designed, LLC, his first foray into running his own Design Firm. The Firm provides Award Winning Residential and Multifamily design for some of the leading Builders, Developers and Custom Clients in the Nation. He’s designed hundreds of homes in exclusive developments providing designs which reflect more contemporary and modern elements that are grounded in the principles of traditional and timeless architectural styles. Whether it’s Modern Infill or a Historic Remodel, his focus is designing projects that will withstand the test of time, and not just what is popular at the moment. Some of his notable awards include the 2023 Silver Auora Award for Best Single Family Detached Model Home over 5,000 sq.ft., HGTV Urban Oasis Home 2022, HBAMT Natures Landing Show Home, 2017 Grand Aurora Award Best Single-Family Detached Home 2,500 to 2,999 sq. ft., including BALA Awards for Single Family and Mixed-Used Design.
