Matt Belcher's firm Specializes in building energy efficient, healthy, resilient homes, light commercial construction and land development management using economically and environmentally conscious practices. He has also consulted on large sustainable mixed-use commercial/residential developments. He has represented NAHB as a longtime member of the International Code Council’s (ICC) Building and Energy Code development committees, Matt constantly works to advise and educate building industry professionals and governmental administrators on pragmatic International Building, Mechanical and Energy Conservation Code structure, methodology, policy, and application. For the past nearly thirty years Matt has Proudly represented NAHB, including testifying in front of the US House Energy & Commerce Committee. Matt has served on the Board of SIPA, The Green Building Initiative (GBI) and International Mass Timber Alliance. Matt was awarded Life Member status on NAHB’s Board of Directors and has served on NAHB’s Codes Committee and Sub-committees for more than 25 years. He is past Chair of NAHB-BSC Board of Trustees. He is a two time BSC Builder of the Year and was the 2023 recipient of the Lifetime Acheivement Award . Matt is co-founder and Vice President of Operation Triage a 501c3 organization that Supports Veterans, First Responders, Active-Duty Service Members, and their Families. Matt’s daughter, Meg is now the 3rd generation in the homebuilding Industry as a Manager with a large high-end building company in St. Louis.
