What It’s About
In a world so shaken by the pandemic - to imagine, team up, and achieve a way to new-normal neighborhood development that can restore belief and calm, embrace the timeless, and live fruitfully and sustainably, come what may. A journey map here details the making of a community fit for both its people and its 19-acre, richly splendor Texas Hill Country woodland habitat to flourish forever in balance on the shores of Lake Travis, within easy range of Austin. "New Normal" pandemic era placemaking is keen recognition of what is shifting and what is timeless, what must be adaptive, and what needs to stand truthfully, strong and in sync with the immutable. This project boasts human talent, resolve to honor its surroundings, transform approaches to design and construction technology with a focus on using industrialized/offsite construction, to its carbon handprint, its economics, its deep respect for all members of its community, development and building value chain and its regenerative essence as a neighborhood. The story can serve as a learning and discovery lab for others to follow, aspire to, and evolve even further.
