Product Launch Overview

Washbox is launching three new professional washout solutions designed to improve site efficiency, protect builder reputations, and eliminate uncontrolled liquid waste from construction and renovation projects.

The new range includes the Washbox Rocket, a mobile, battery powered, self contained wash station for multi trade sites; the Washbox Rover, an ultra portable system for vehicle based and residential work; and the Rollerwash Collar, a simple attachment that enables clean, contained roller washing and tool reuse.

Together, these products allow tradespeople and builders to clean tools on site while capturing waste solids and microplastic residues, preventing discharge into streets, drains, and waterways.

All connected Washbox systems integrate with the Washbox App and secure cloud platform, enabling users to monitor water use, waste captured, and pollution prevented across individual projects or portfolios. This data driven capability supports compliance reporting, quality assurance, and continuous improvement for contractors and project owners.

This product launch forms part of Washbox’s broader global commitment to eliminate construction related liquid waste pollution. Washbox is a Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action Maker and leads the Green Sink Initiative, a UN Ocean Decade endorsed program focused on driving behaviour change, education, and best practice in construction washout management worldwide.

  Why Washbox Exists Washbox was created to solve a problem that had been ignored for decades: the uncontrolled discharge of polluted washwater from construction sites into streets, drains, and waterways. Founder Andrew Crimston began his career as a commercial painter and contractor in Australia. On every job, he saw the same issue repeated: trades were washing paint, plaster, grout, and chemical residues into drainage systems because there was no practical alternative. The practice was widespread, accepted, and rarely questioned, despite its environmental and compliance risks. At the same time, Andrew saw the business impact. Unmanaged washout created messy sites, build program blockages, regulatory exposure, and costly inefficiencies for builders and contractors. Yet the industry lacked any simple, affordable, and scalable solution that fit real jobsite conditions. Washbox was developed to change that. Its closed loop wash stations and containment systems give tradespeople a practical way to clean tools on site while capturing waste and preventing discharge. By making responsible washout easier than irresponsible washout, Washbox removes the barriers that have allowed the problem to persist. From the beginning, Washbox was built not just as a product, but as a system for changing behaviour. Through education, data, and digital reporting, the company helps contractors understand their impact, improve performance, and demonstrate professionalism to clients and regulators.
