What It's About:

Builders often see high performance as an additional construction cost or marketing tool. But, improving your homes through efficient processes, building science knowledge and higher quality products can reduce or offset construction costs, reduce risks, and improve quality—in other words, it’s good for the buyer AND for the builder! In this session, learn how to instill better on-site management practices and trade accountability, and how to leverage high performance building practices, HERS ratings and energy/green programs, all with the goal of reducing defects, improving quality and achieving a significant return on your high performance investment.

  • Increase your building science knowledge for high performance homes.
  • Discover how to improve management of your trade partners and suppliers and ensure they contribute to a high standard of construction.
  • Learn effective ways to improve construction quality without increasing costs.
  • Gain a better understanding of building codes and energy/green programs while reducing risk and liability.

How to Attend:

Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Building Knowledge sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
