What It's About

Supply chain disruptions and materials shortages are two of the biggest challenges affecting today’s industry and your ability to build profitably. While no silver bullet exists, builders can find relief by working earnestly with their subcontractors and suppliers to lower each other’s operating costs. It starts by asking a single question, “What is it we do that costs you money?” and then acting on those responses. In this advanced session, hear from a veteran builder/supply chain executive who embraces a ‘suppliers first’ strategy to reduce paint points and therefore unnecessary costs. Explore new pricing and product strategies you can employ in partnership with your suppliers and subcontractors.

What You’ll Learn

  • Learn how to convert lump-sum pricing to unit-pricing to enable supply chain strategies that reduce costs.
  • Learn how to compare unit prices to commodities pricing.
  • Learn two supply chain methods to reduce costs: consolidate distribution and kitting.
  • Learn how a better flow of products through the supply chain can lower your pricing.
