Building Knowledge Session
It’s Sales AND Marketing, Not Sales VERSUS Marketing
Tuesday, January 31 | 9:30 - 10:30 AM
LVCC - West 317
What It’s About
Sales and marketing are two critical functions in any business. They are intertwined, but too often, these groups are adversarial rather than collaborative. Businesses need their sales and marketing teams to work together to build and maintain the company brand to keep those leads coming and sales closing. This session will share a model for effectively merging the two halves into a seamless greater whole. Discover where your pain points and divides are, how to fix them and how to lead a synergistic team that supports and inspires one another.
What You’ll Learn
- Explore the structure of the two departments to understand the functions and dynamics required to execute at a high level.
- Answer the accountability question to clearly define the sales and marketing departments' roles, boundaries, and objectives.
- Gain tips for managing conflicts and expectations between departments, communicating effectively and staying on track with a collaborative culture.
