James Leach, JD, MBA, CPCU Executive Director Maverick James Leach is the Executive Director with Maverick- Insurance and Warranties. He is tasked with thought leader solutions for Enterprise Builders and has three decades of legal, insurance and contract experience working with home builders. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of FHB Insurance; Executive Vice President of Insurance Specialty Group; and Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Builders Insurance Group. Jim received his Juris Doctor with Honors from Drake University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa. He also received a Master of Business Administration and Master of Insurance from Georgia State University. His undergraduate degrees are from Duke University and Gulf Coast College. Jim is an Airline Transport Pilot and Multi- Engine Flight Instructor, having flown fighter jets in the US Air Force. He is an aircraft owner with 6,000 pilot hours. He knows how to Pre- flight planes, and businesses!
