Summer Kath is the Executive Vice President of Design at Cambria and the creative visionary behind the brand’s award-winning quartz surfaces. With more than two decades at Cambria and a portfolio of over 200 designs, she leads design strategy, product development, and global trend direction—guiding Cambria’s evolution as a design-driven brand at the forefront of surface innovation. Her work lives at the intersection of form and function, where elevated design meets performance and longevity. A global tastemaker, Summer travels extensively to identify emerging trends and translate them into products that resonate emotionally while performing at the highest level. She has led Cambria’s most groundbreaking innovations, including Inverness™, the first quartz surface with sculpted, debossed vein texture, and the Alloys™ Collection, a proprietary blend of quartz with real brass or stainless steel alloy—an industry first. Summer’s creative process is rooted in empathy and consumer insight. She is known for transforming aspirational aesthetics and unmet lifestyle needs into tangible, high-performance designs, balancing storytelling with the science of innovation. Her leadership spans design, brand strategy, marketing, and product positioning, ensuring a cohesive voice across every touchpoint. Design runs in her DNA. The daughter of a cabinet maker, she “grew up in sawdust,” developing an early appreciation for craftsmanship and materials. Before joining Cambria, she was one of the brand’s earliest customers while building her first home. Her leadership has been recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” and she serves on the executive board of the Twin Cities Film Festival.
