John has been a custom home builder for 33 years, as well as an expert 3D modeler. John is the author of "SketchUp for Builders", as well as a SketchUp extension developer (Estimator for SketchUp, Framer for SketchUp, PDF Importer, etc.). John is also launching his new project management software, SPOT (Single Point of Truth) at IBS in 2026. SPOT is a construction management platform that combines the features of Buildertrend and Bluebeam, where the builder "hosts" their drawing sets and 3D models, perform takeoffs, etc.
