    What It's About

Building and construction has a bright future, although the immediate road ahead has some challenges. Increasing competitive pressures, costs and a continued shortage of skilled labor all weigh on the industry’s mind. There’s no magical fix to these challenges. But there are solutions that can make a difference.

Join Avery Dennison Business Development Manager John Calhoon as he discusses one such solution: pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes. Durable and versatile, PSA tapes have a wide range of applications on a jobsite, from flashing and seaming to assembly. They’re easier to use than mechanical fasteners and glues, allowing contractors to get more done in less time and potentially with less-skilled labor. They promote quality, as the adhesive requires no mixing, adding a catalyst, or waiting a specific cure time — simply apply the tape to the surface and add a bit of pressure. And they’re being used in some innovative ways to improve the functionality of many building material systems. Calhoon will share examples of how PSA tapes are used in the industry, while providing attendees with a framework to consider regarding how tapes might be integrated into their own workflows.
