With nearly two decades of experience in the homebuilding industry, Tom Baldwin brings deep expertise and proven leadership to his role as President and Chief Revenue Officer of Schaefer Homes. Over the course of his career, Tom has guided teams in delivering more than 2,500 homes across the region, giving him a comprehensive perspective on every stage of the building process—from planning and design to construction and customer experience. At Schaefer Homes, Tom is responsible for shaping the company’s strategic vision, driving revenue growth, and ensuring operational excellence. His leadership spans land acquisition, community development, construction operations, and sales and marketing. With a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, Tom works to balance affordability with craftsmanship, helping families find homes that truly fit how they live. Tom earned his bachelor’s degree from Salisbury University and is a NAHB Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). He is an active member of the Maryland Building Industry Association, serving on the 50+ Housing Council, the Sales and Marketing Council, and the Future Industry Leaders Association. His contributions to the industry have been widely recognized: in 2014, he was named Sales and Marketing Manager of the Year by MBIA, and in 2017, he was honored on Professional Builder’s “Forty Under 40” list. Tom has also shared his insights on the national stage as a two-time speaker for the National Association of Home Builders. Today, Tom serves on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Building Industry Association, continuing his commitment to advancing the growth, innovation, and future of homebuilding.
