The 2027 New American Home®

See the latest in design trends, product innovations and smart home technology in The New American Home®, the official show home of IBS. The next home will be unveiled at the 2027 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS), Feb 2–4, 2027, where IBS attendees and media members can tour the home and experience the latest in design, technology and sustainability.

The New American Home® 2027 (TNAH), produced in collaboration with the NAHB Leading Suppliers Council and Professional Builder magazine, will not only serve as a cutting-edge exhibition of the industry’s latest innovations, but will also have a special tie to local community services. The 2027 edition home is in the Southern Highlands community of Henderson, NV, will be the 44th home in the program’s history, and Blue Heron is the builder.

As one of the two official show homes of the 2027 NAHB International Builders' Show® (IBS), TNAH 2027 is raising the bar with a bold vision centered on wellness, connection and experiential living.

The New American Home starts with great design: the philosophy that guided every decision behind the home's creation. From the architecture and interiors to the engineering and landscape elements, the design team focused on creating a seamless experience that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living.

Visitors will immediately experience this vision upon entering the front courtyard. Designed as an entertainment space, the courtyard provides sightlines through the home to the opposite side of the property, creating a dramatic sense of openness and connection.

A New Take on Wellness for The New American Home

At the center of the home's great room is a striking feature that embodies the project's biophilic design philosophy.

A mature tree appears to levitate above a dramatic water-and-fire installation, creating a living centerpiece that anchors the space. The design team intentionally incorporated natural elements throughout the home, including:

  • Water features.
  • Fire features.
  • Integrated planters.
  • Indoor greenery.
  • Expansive connections to outdoor spaces.

These elements create a sensory-rich environment that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and strengthens the connection between residents and nature.
