Prior to Crescent Communities, John was a Senior Associate and Residential Discipline Lead with 505Design, a multi-disciplinary design firm of architects, interior designers, and environmental graphic designers who specialize in retail, mixed-use, and residential projects across the United States. During his time at 505Design, John’s work was nationally recognized and awarded by several organizations including the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), American Institute of Architects (AIA), Innovating Commerce Serving Communities (ICSC – formerly International Council of Shopping Centers). In 2021, John was recognized in the ICSC’s 40-under-40. John is a licensed Architect in the state of North Carolina and holds an NCARB Certificate. John earned a Master of Architecture, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, from Clemson University where he studied abroad in Genoa, Italy.
