Devin Pearson
Citizen Builders
SLC, Utah
Devin Pearson is the founder of Citizen Builders, a Utah-based boutique design-build firm in its fifth year, on track to exceed $7M in annual revenue. Citizen Builders specializes in high-end custom homes and remodels across Utah, with a reputation for design-driven projects executed with discipline and precision.
In its debut at the 2024 Salt Lake Parade of Homes, Citizen Builders earned both Best Curb Appeal and Best Craftsmanship. The firm is returning to the 2026 Parade, a reflection of its continued growth in Utah's high end residential market. Devin is an active member of the Park City and Salt Lake Home Builders Association and a Houzz Pro Ambassador.
Beyond the build, Devin is the founder of CommandAP, a back-office operations platform built specifically for residential general contractors after he ran into the same workflow gaps in his own shop: invoice intake, vendor compliance, lien waivers, and pay-ready gating that commercial-grade tools didn't fit. He brings an active operator's perspective to construction tech: not a vendor explaining what software could do, but a builder explaining what he tried, what didn't, and what he built.
A 2026 IBS panelist on AI in residential construction (rated 4.59 overall, 4.67 on self-promotion), Devin speaks at the intersection of running a construction business and building tools to support it. His perspective is grounded in the daily friction residential builders face, and the systems that turn it into discipline.
