Ben Copenhaver
CopeGrand Homes
Johns Island, South Carolina
Ben Copenhaver is the co-founder and co-owner of CopeGrand Homes, a custom home builder serving Charleston and the surrounding Lowcountry. Alongside his twin brother, Adam, Ben has established CopeGrand as a respected leader in luxury residential construction, known for exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to its clients. Under their leadership, CopeGrand has been voted the Lowcountry's Best Custom Home Builder five times.
Ben began working in construction at an early age, gaining hands-on experience in both the residential and commercial sectors. He earned a bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Pennsylvania College of Technology, then worked as a project manager building semi-custom homes, strengthening his expertise in operations and construction processes. That foundation led to a larger vision: a company defined by genuine care, superior craftsmanship, and clear, consistent communication, with a family-oriented culture where every team member feels valued and supported.
Today, Ben leads construction operations at CopeGrand, working on site in a hands-on role. His collaborative approach ensures every project, from new construction to complex renovations, is carefully managed and completed to the highest standards. He believes success is measured not only by the finished home, but by the trust and relationships built along the way.
Ben and Adam remain committed to delivering the "Grand Experience," a personalized building journey founded on integrity, transparency, accountability, and an uncompromising dedication to excellence. Outside of work, Ben enjoys time with his wife and two young children, traveling, the outdoors, and the Lowcountry lifestyle.
