Ric Johnson, recipient of the 2015 Garrison-McDaniel Memorial Award from the Ohio Home Builders Association and the 2010 Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) TechHome Division’s Leadership Award, is founder of Right at Home Technologies, Ltd., a family owned holding company specializing in developing technologically advanced custom homes for the Active Adult, providing cutting edge solutions in helping caregivers and medical personnel provide for dementia and early onset Alzheimer’s patients. Johnsoncurrently serves as the Immediate Past Chairman of the State of Ohio Commerce Department’s Board of Building Standards, Residential Construction Advisory Committee, which develops, interprets and enforces the Residential Code of Ohio. Johnson has served as President of the West Central Builders Association, is a State and National Director of the NAHB, Director of the NAHB’s Custom Builder Committee and Chair of their Home Technology Subcommittee. Ric is a nationally recognized speaker and educator on Home Technology, Aging in Place & Building Codes, served as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the CEA/CompTIA DHTI+ Certification, SME for the development of the ESPA Certified-EST and SME for CEDIA’s ROI course “Managing ESC’s.” He is an instructor and Content Provider for NAHB’s University of Housing’s Home Technology Integration course and SME of Home Technology for the Advance Certified Aging in Place course. He’s a former high school football coach residing with his wife of forty six years in Ada, Ohio.
