Teri Slavik-Tsuyuki brings a sociologist’s curiosity to her work in community development & marketing. She uncovers consumer insights to create places & experiences with that matter to people. She's brought life to some of the most recognized communities in mixed use development in the US, Canada & Mexico. Teri created the America at Home Study, to understand changing consumer behavior & its impacts on home & community design. A second concept home in collaboration with the Housing Innovation Alliance, was built using offsite construction, in Pittsburgh with insights from wave 3 of the study, to achieve 3 specific sustainability & wellness goals. For a decade Teri was the Chief Marketing Officer & the architect of the Newland brand in more than 40 communities in 14 states, where she led new community planning & start-up, collaborating with regional teams on 11 new communities in 4 years. Teri Co-chairs the Global Wellness Institute’s Wellness Communities & Real Estate Initiative, and is a member of the ULI's Residential Neighborhood Development Council. Her work is featured in Fast Company, USA Today, Washington Post, Forbes, CNN Business, Fox Business. She's written 30+ articles and is a frequent speaker at national events.
