What It's About:

While much of the marketplace is pursuing smart growth through higher density housing, many people still prefer a single family home. However, it is possible to create higher-density communities that capture the essence of single family living through its land plan, amenities, floor plans and streetscape—and are features these homebuyers desire in a multifamily product. Learn how builders and architects are accomplishing single family living in a multifamily world as the panelists share successful community and floor plan examples. THIS SESSION WILL BE OFFERED AGAIN ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, FROM 4:15-5:15 PM IN ROOM N262.

What You'll Learn:

  • Review homebuyers research to identify most important single-family features.
  • Analyze market-tested floor plans that deliver single-family features in a multifamily product that can be applied to your projects.
  • Understand how land plans, amenities, floor plans and streetscapes can create friendlier, warmer multifamily communities.
