What It's About:

Why do some homes cost more than others to build, when their square footages are similar? Would you like to avoid costly fixes on your job site? Why do some homes have better curb appeal than others? These are just some of the burning questions builders have—and our speaker has the answers. In this advanced session, discover ways to create house plans that are economical to build, functional to live in and attractive, too. Come ready to start thinking differently, and learn how to build homes that are better looking, less wasteful and more functional for your clients. THIS SESSION WILL BE OFFERED AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, FROM 10:15-11:15 AM IN ROOM N262.

What You'll Learn:

  • Learn how to reduce waste and reduce construction time on your project while increasing profits.
  • Gain design tips so you can provide your clients with a more aesthetically pleasing product.
  • Review a case study where implementing value engineering provided substantial savings for both the builder and client.
  • Learn about new products and processes which, when implemented, can save thousands on construction costs.

How to Attend:

Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Building Knowledge sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
