What It's About:
The term “smart” is used to describe many new devices and technologies in the home, so the challenges for remodelers is to add these products to improve a lifestyle without adding complexity for the user (and for yourself during the remodel process). In this session, learn the critical considerations for integrating new technologies into your projects and how to evaluate which technology platform will best support the needs of the client. We’ll discuss best ways to navigate conversations about smart technologies such as door locks, lights, shades, cameras, and displays, while still explaining the common challenges associated with these devices. Come and learn how to successfully integrate these products to create an intelligent environment and an exceptional client experience.
What You'll Learn:
Identify common smart product categories and list the critical features to consider when integrating them into remodels.
Define the major ecosystems available to connect devices and make them work together.
Understand common challenges for successfully deploying new technology for clients.
Describe the importance of both wired and wireless connection options.
