Commercial banks, particularly community banks, continue to be the primary providers of acquisition, development and construction (AD&C) financing for small- to mid-sized builders and developers. As some banks were slow to return to AD&C lending following the financial crisis, we saw an increase in individual investors and private funds. Regardless of the source, access to financing continues to be a challenge and is far from a one-size-fits-all proposition. In this session, hear from fellow builders who have successfully navigated the tricky AD&C headwinds. Learn about the various capital strategies and options available and which may be best for a business in your position. We’ll also explore critical questions about leverage, personal guarantees, land banking and more.
Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Building Knowledge sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
