What It's About:

While much of the marketplace is pursuing smart growth through higher density housing, many people still prefer a single family home. However, it is possible to create higher-density communities that capture the essence of single family living through its land plan, amenities, floor plans and streetscape—and are features these homebuyers desire in a multifamily product. Learn how builders and architects are accomplishing single family living in a multifamily world as the panelists share successful community and floor plan examples. THIS IS A REPEAT OF THE SESSION BEING OFFERED ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, FROM 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM IN ROOM N253.

What You'll Learn:

  • Review homebuyers research to identify most important single-family features.
  • Analyze market-tested floor plans that deliver single-family features in a multifamily product that can be applied to your projects.
  • Understand how land plans, amenities, floor plans and streetscapes can create friendlier, warmer multifamily communities.

How to Attend:

Participants must be registered for a full registration package or a 1-day education with expo pass package valid for the day of the session they wish to attend. Seating for Building Knowledge sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
