Building Knowledge Session
The 4 P’s of the New Multifamily Ecosystem
Tuesday, January 31 | 4:00 - 5:00 PM
LVCC - West 303
What It’s About
Productivity and technology adoption are areas where construction lags, but it doesn't need to be this way. Housing can be successfully standardized, automated, and, yes, mass-produced. In this session, explore the blueprint—built around plants, preconstruction, products and people—three company leaders have used to address the housing crisis and innovate their businesses. By successfully leaning into their vision, they’ve established a volumetric modular plant where robots take the heavy lifting off of people. Hear the benefits that can be realized from automation and standardization of product design, data-driven preconstruction, teaming up around digital project twins and more—all while transforming company culture and empowering their people.
What You’ll Learn
- Examine how people and robots can successfully work together in a plant to mass-produce volumetric modular housing.
- Understand how data-driven preconstruction process, digital twin technology and pre-vetted product designs can compress schedules and prevent costly rework during design, in the factory and on-site.
- Learn how automation and innovation can enable people empowerment through culture, branding, environment, retention and motivation.
