Jam(b) Session: Hops & Housing Innovation

Tuesday, January 31 | 3:30 - 4:30 PM
LVCC - West 232

What It’s About

There is no shortage of ideas, passion and capital to advance our industry, but leading change can be tricky. Consumer expectations, market dynamics, and technology have transformed dramatically, offering great opportunity for those willing to embrace innovation. But what does that really mean for your company and how do we de-risk that journey? This happy hour-style Jam(b) Session tackles those questions and more. Hear from panelists who’ve ‘been there, done that’ as they highlight the initiatives they’ve adopted, successes (and failures) and lessons learned. We’ll then open things up for rapid-fire Q&A, brainstorming and audience-driven discussion. Topics explored include design evolution, HVAC, 3D printing, integrated offsite construction, system commercialization and more. Innovation doesn’t have to be overwhelming and it’s not something you have to do alone—grab a cold brew and join this conversation on innovation, collaboration and driving new solutions for greater impact.

What You’ll Learn

  • Understand the increased value of research and development (R&D) and explore the tactics used for implementing these initiatives as part of your business strategy.
  • Explore solutions for cost sharing R&D initiatives to increase probability of success and de-risk your innovation journey.
  • Learn how innovative approaches aimed at reflecting demographic and market dynamics can expand the breadth and depth of your impact while combating attainability challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for talent attraction and development based on your culture and the company missions to be accomplished.
