    What It's About

Kitchens and primary living areas get all the headlines, but it’s the small, auxiliary and often multi-use rooms that can significantly impact a home's appeal to potential buyers and become the difference-maker in getting the sale. This fast-paced Learning Lab looks at four of the smaller, yet hardest-working spaces in our homes today—bathrooms, family flex rooms, fitness and wellness rooms, and indoor/outdoor connections. Speakers will take the stage for 12-minutes a piece to highlight the must-have features, functions, materials, technologies and more. Come learn a thoughtful approach for designing and efficiently incorporating these in-demand spaces into your floor plans while still delivering the practicality, creativity, luxury and charm buyers want.

    What You’ll Learn

    • Learn about unique considerations that exist when designing fitness and wellness spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
    • Understand the surfaces, styles and innovations today's buyers expect from their baths and how to increase function with storage, laundry universal design features and more.
    • Gain practical techniques for transforming underutilized areas within homes into functional and aesthetically appealing work areas for kids and adults alike.
    • Establish the design connection between indoor and outdoor spaces and understand how to deliver function, beauty and comfort in your designs.

    How to Attend

Participants must be registered for an Expo + Education pass. Seating for sessions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
