What It's About
The Blueprint -- IBS’ premiere design education experience -- is all about affordability and attainability in 2025! Changing demographics, homebuyer preferences and high prices are causing a dramatic shift in the housing options buyers now seek, so we’re bringing you 90+ minutes of design inspiration, product examples and builder best practices for delivering attainable, livable homes and communities. Begin with a journey from macro to micro, as experts outline creative planning techniques and flexible ways to design everything from neighborhoods to floorplans -- all with a consumer-centric, attainability focus. Then, we’ll turn our attention to the how-to's and in-demand product types. Discover how builders and buyers can “have their cake and eat it too” with narrow lots and efficient use of space in smaller products in walkable communities. And hear from a nation-wide builder panel solving the affordability challenge through more traditional single-family developments. Explore buyer data, discuss the upside for builders and review the latest design trends, including examples of award-winning community designs and proven concepts.
