Laura Hanson is an accomplished marketing and strategy leader in the homebuilding industry, currently serving as the Director of Strategy for Builder Designs, a leading digital partner for homebuilders nationwide. With nearly two decades of experience, she brings a rare blend of marketing expertise, design insight, and operational understanding to help builders strengthen their brands and elevate their digital experiences. Prior to joining Builder Designs, Laura served as the Marketing Director for New Tradition Homes, one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest private homebuilders, where she spent almost 20 years shaping the company’s brand and customer experience. A strategic innovator, she led the launch of a highly successful online sales program and CRM system, modernized digital marketing processes, and played a key role in improving buyer communication and lead management. She also contributed to New Tradition’s Building Science Team and collaborated with the In-House Design Team, bringing both technical knowledge and aesthetic vision to model home design and merchandising. Laura is an active leader in the broader housing industry, serving on the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) Board of Trustees. Her contributions have earned her recognition as a Pro Builder Magazine “40 Under 40” honoree and a PWB Pink Hard Hat Award recipient. With a lifelong passion for homebuilding, shaped early on as the daughter of a builder, Laura combines a deep understanding of craftsmanship and design with a commitment to helping builders deliver exceptional homes, meaningful customer experiences, and smarter marketing outcomes.
