Joseph A Bonura Jr. is a Principal at JBJ Construction Group, and Bonura Hospitality Group. These companies operate a well-diversified portfolio of multi-family and single-family residential, commercial, and hospitality businesses throughout the Hudson Valley, NY and Naples, FL markets. Before entering residential space, Bonura spearheaded the development and construction of several hospitality venues including the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, Anthony’s Pier 9, Billy Joe’s Ribworks Restaurant in Newburgh, West Hills Country Club in Middletown, NY and construction of a 12,000 SF retail center in Newburgh. In 2016, Bonura designed and constructed the firm’s firm multi-family residential project in Poughkeepsie, NY. In the coming years the company would add to its portfolio with two more multi-family projects: Yellow Bird on the Newburgh waterfront and on The Residences at West Hills Country Club. In 2018, Joe partnered with long-time friend Joe Kirchhoff to develop Tradition at Red Hook, which is a 102 lot single-family Traditional Neighborhood Development. The project is now 60% built out in its sixth phase of eight total phases. Price points range from $600,000 to $1M+. In Naples Florida, Joe along with his partner and brother Michael have completed construction on two large estate home properties and are nearing completion on a third. These homes feature the most high-end finishes of the family’s portfolio and are priced at $8M - $10M each. Joe has served on various Boards of Director for economic development and philanthropic interests including the Economic Development Corporation of Dutchess County, Walkway Over the Hudson, the Community Foundation of Dutchess County and the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
