BRENDAN HAYES FAIRFIELD SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT – DEVELOPMENT, BAY AREA, SAN DIEGO, PORTLAND & SEATTLE Brendan is one of Fairfield’s senior development officers in the Western United States and is responsible for the company’s development activities in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Portland, and Seattle markets. Brendan joined Fairfield in 1997 and has been directly involved in the development of over 19,000 apartment homes and 170,000 square feet of commercial/retail space with a total development cost of nearly $5 Billion. His development activity at Fairfield has included suburban garden style communities, infill and transit-oriented communities, urban master plans, and mixed-use communities. These communities developed have included market-rate housing, mixed income housing, workforce housing, and fully affordable housing. Prior to joining Fairfield, he worked for Bank of America as a senior real estate appraiser. Brendan graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Business/Real Estate. He currently serves on the executive committee of the San Diego BIA Board of Directors and has ongoing professional affiliations with Urban Land Institute.
