Mr. Spencer officially started working in the construction industry for his father's roofing company in high school but he has been building things out of wood for as long as he can remember. Over his 40-year career he has built residential, commercial, mixed-use, special purpose and healthcare projects and worked for a spectrum of builders and developers. Mr. Spencer has a passion for high density residential development and in his current role at Peterson Companies he directs their multifamily platform, both for-sale and rental. Mr. Spencer has been a member of the NAHB Multifamily Council since 2021 and was honored to serve on the 2024 IBS Convention Education Subcommittee.
