Eric Fortenberry

Eric Fortenberry is a passionate entrepreneur who founded JobTread, a construction project management software company, in 2019. Prior to that, he served as CEO for a General Contracting company where he built the first version of JobTread to help streamline and remedy their broken processes. In one year, after implementing the platform, the company grew from $5 to $8 million in sales and increased their gross profit by 43%. He was named EY US Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 Southwest Award Winner, and the 2024 Emerging Company CEO of the Year by Tech Titans. He has also received awards at the White House and United Nations after being named to the Empact 100 List showcasing the Best Companies Started and Run by Young Entrepreneurs. JobTread has been recognized multiple times as a Best Place to Work for its company culture, rapid growth, and innovative solutions. In 2026, JobTread was ranked No. 155 on the Inc. 5000, an annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. Eric is an Eagle Scout and holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Software Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. When he’s not working, he enjoys traveling with his wife and two children.
