Mike Benshoof is CEO of Yingst Group, a builder and remodeler, and CEO of Red Door Homes, a national custom homebuilder focused on building on clients' lots. With over 30 years in the homebuilding industry, Mike has led teams at every level—from family business to public builder to national consultant. He began his career in his family's construction business before spending seven years in production and sales management at NVR, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. He later served as Director of Business Analysis at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), where he became a trusted expert in housing economics. From 2002 to 2015, Mike consulted with builders and remodelers across North America, helping them drive profitability and operational discipline. As President of Berks Homes (2015–2024), he led the company from $32 million to nearly $200 million in closings, expanding market share and building scalable systems for growth. Today, he leads both Yingst Group and Red Door Homes with a focus on operational excellence, customer experience, and sustainable growth. A frequent speaker and educator, Mike has presented at the International Builders’ Show, NAHB Builder 20 Clubs, and IMN private equity symposiums. He holds a degree in English with a Business minor from Penn State and an MBA in Financial Management and Economics from Marymount University.
