Sean Weiner is the Co-Founder and President of Spexi Advisory, an independent consultancy that helps homeowners, architects, and builders plan and implement residential lighting and technology systems in high-end custom homes. Serving as an owner’s advocate, Spexi guides projects from early discovery and system design through budgeting, contractor coordination, and construction-phase oversight, helping teams reduce complexity, avoid rework, and align technology decisions with architectural intent and construction realities. With more than 30 years of experience in residential technology, Sean served as a founding member and CTO of Bravas, a nationally scaled luxury smart-home integration firm, and as President of Starr Systems Design, an award-winning electronic systems and electrical contracting company he founded in 1994. He began his career as an installation technician and system designer, giving him firsthand insight into both field execution and project planning. Sean is also the Luxury Track Chairman for the Builder Innovator Summit, a CEDIA Outreach Instructor, and a member of the Lutron Hall of Fame. He regularly contributes to industry education through speaking engagements, panels, and published articles focused on improving outcomes in custom and luxury residential construction.
