Josh Rosenthal

Josh Rosenthal is co-owner of Cabin John Builders, a luxury custom home building and remodeling company serving the Washington, DC area for over 20 years. CJB specializes in custom new construction and full renovations ranging from $300K to $3.5M, working closely with architects and clients who expect a high level of craft, communication, and professionalism. Josh runs the business side of the company, covering sales, estimating, client relations, and operations. His brother and business partner, Neal, oversees all field operations. Josh is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and serves as Vice Chair of the Montgomery County Board of New Home Builder Registration. He is an active member of NAHB Builder 20 Club #11, The Craftsmen. Over the past year, Josh has gone all-in on integrating AI into CJB's daily operations, building custom tools his team now uses on active job sites, including a custom iOS walkthrough app, automated delivery tracking systems, and spec review tools that transfer institutional knowledge to newer team members. He has no coding background and no formal technology training. His perspective is that of a builder solving builder problems, not a technologist selling solutions.
