Philip Beere is the Founder of G Street™ and the G Home™, which is the leading national brand for remodeled homes that are pre-1980. Philip is the recipient of the 2012, 2011 and 2010 NAHB Green Remodel Advocate of the Year award, and the 2012 and 2010 NAHB Green Remodel Project of the Year. Philip completed the first NAHB Emerald Certified remodel in the United States, and the first LEED Gold single-family remodel in the United States. In 2010, Philip was awarded the Housing Hero Award for Superior Sustainable Design, by the State of Arizona. Philip was featured twice on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, showcasing the G Home™ and its energy efficient design as a possible solution to the housing crisis. In 2011, Philip headed a team of twenty Arizona building science experts to create the curriculum and train over 1200 building professionals and officials on the 2009 IECC.? Philip is the 2010 recipient of the Valley Forward Crescordia award for environmental education, for his advocacy of implementing energy efficiency standards in residential renovation. In February of 2012 Philip was the recipient of the Energy Value Housing Award for remodeling homes as guided by the IECC 2012 and the ICC 700. G Street™ is the 2012 NAHB Research Center's Partner of the Year for remodeling. Philip's speaking engagements include the International Builders Show, Greenbuild, Universities, and industry events.
