    What It's About

In the construction industry, traditional materials such as plywood, OSB, gypsum board, and stick construction processes are often specified due to their historical use, availability, ease of use and manufacturers’ understanding of the materials and their performance.

However, new, innovative thermoplastic composite materials are emerging and replacing traditional building materials for good reasons. Specifically, composite sandwich panels, made with continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic facesheets thermally bonded to an internal core, can be tailored to meet specific performance, weight, and design requirements, providing flexibility and functional advantages over traditional materials.
