Drywall Decisions: Fastening & Finishing [DEMO]
Tuesday, January 31 | 11:00 - 11:30 AM
LVCC - IBS Craft Techniques Zone - W1432
What It’s About
There is a lot more to hanging drywall than the single-person, Vegas-worthy balancing act that it appears to be. Holding a sheet of drywall larger than yourself with one hand and your head while securing it with a screw gun running constantly at 4-5000rpms is a feat, but it would be fleeting if you didn't plan where or how that sheet was going to land to make your life easier on the finish. In this demo, we’ll dive into why the layout and location of seams can often be more important than the fasteners holding them in place and discuss what finishes are most sought-after and how to apply them correctly.
